Splash Select Red Hypoestes (Hypoestes phyllostachya) is an attractive and easy-to-grow indoor plant known for its striking red-spotted foliage. This tropical perennial is a popular houseplant due to its beautiful appearance and low maintenance requirements. GROWING INSTRUCTIONS (Included on packet):
Start Hypoestes seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Plant seeds on the surface of well-draining seed starting mix and press lightly into the soil, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil consistently moist and maintain a temperature of 70-75°F (21-24°C). Seeds should germinate within 10-14 days. Once seedlings have 2-3 sets of leaves, transplant them into individual pots. For the best foliage color, provide bright indirect light. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
